Sites hosted with MainTree Systems are subject to the following terms and conditions. Hosting through MainTree Systems implies acceptance of these terms. MainTree Systems will be the sole arbiter as to what constitutes a violation of these terms.
Base Prohibitions
- NO sites with banners, graphics, or scripts running from a MainTree Systems server to be used on other domains without our expressed written permission.
- NO sites offering download files. (This is any site where 40% or more of monthly traffic is from file downloads)
- NO adult, media, pirated software, or link sites in general.
- NO unauthorized reselling of disk space.
- NO sites offering materials in violation of US or international copyright laws.
- NO sites offering materials in violation of US law.
Chat Rooms, IRC, and other Third Party Software
We do not allow clients to install their own third party software. This includes chat rooms, IRC or IRC bots, or other background running programs. Upon client request, we may install third party software for you. These are considered on a case by case basis and an extra charge will be incurred based on system resources used and operational maintenance if needed. MainTree Systems does not warranty usability or performance of third party software installed at the clients request.
Commercial Advertising – Email
Spamming, or the sending of unsolicited email, from a MainTree Systems server or using an email address or domain that is maintained on a MainTree Systems server is STRICTLY prohibited. MainTree Systems will be the sole arbiter as to what constitutes a violation of this provision. A $500 fee and account deactivation will be applied if spamming continues after the client is issued a warning.
Server Abuse
Any attempt to undermine or cause harm to or prevent functioning of a server or customer site managed by MainTree Systems is strictly prohibited. Violation of this term may be referred to law enforcement.
All sites hosted through MainTree Systems must adhere to the above policies, and agreeing to host through MainTree Systems implies agreement to these policies. Failure to follow any term or condition will be grounds for immediate account deactivation and possible penalty fees.
